A huge leap forward
It’s finally here — the biggest transformation in Speech Central’s history is coming to Android.
After a complete rewrite using Google’s latest Android development technologies, the new generation of Speech Central is available for beta testing. This isn’t just a major update — it’s a ground-up reinvention that brings thousands of improvements, modern Material Design 3 UI, and the same forward-thinking foundations that were introduced last year on iOS and macOS.
If you’ve been waiting for Speech Central on Android to catch up — or even leap forward — this release delivers just that.
Stable enough to explore
Your existing data will remain untouched during the beta period, and if anything goes wrong, it will be possible to restore it. All bugs discovered during the initial internal testing have already been fixed. While some rough edges may remain, the app should perform reliably in most scenarios.
Some things still to come
A few rarely used features are scheduled to be added during the beta period, and while Android Auto won’t be there at launch, it is expected to follow later this year. Still, the vast majority of functionality will be available from day one of the official release — including many enhancements and refinements that were introduced on iOS only after its own big redesign.
